Welcome to the Britannia Beach Conference Centre website! Here you will learn more about the project, activities, fundraising and more.
This ambitious project will provide a unique setting for retreats and workshops. Part of the capital funds required for construction have been secured. We are now counting on the support of many generous donors to help turn this dream into a reality.
The Copper Ridge Conference Centre (CRCC) will serve as a venue for retreats, seminars and workshops. The new building covers 40,000 square feet on a 33 acres property, surrounded by the rustic beauty of the Britannia range and Howe Sound. In addition, the conference centre will provide education, jobs and professional training.
In 1859 Captain G.H. Richards dubbed the mountains on the eastern shore of Howe Sound the Britannia Range in honour of the Royal Navy’s HMS Britannia. In 1888 copper was discovered in the mountains. In 1900 a mine was established and the town of Britannia Beach was founded to provide shelter to this hard working community.
All year round, the conference centre will provide a wide variety of events, including retreats, seminars, workshops, and courses. The activities held at the conference centre provide participants with spiritual and cultural enrichment, preparing them to become a force for the betterment of society in their professional, family and social contexts.
